Your Portomundi wallet activity

Know what came in, what went out, and what to book.

Proof of transfer

Every time you top up your wallet, we email you a proof of transfer. It confirms that you’ve loaded money into your Portomundi wallet.

You’re topping up, not purchasing, so this is not an invoice, and there’s no VAT on it. All you need to do is book it as your balance.

Invoices

You’ll receive one invoice per service provider, per month. Say you bought 10 services from SP1, 3 from SP2 and 33 from SP3. At the end of the month, you’ll receive 3 invoices.

You’ve already paid for these services, so the invoices are already settled. Just set each one off against the outstanding Portomundi amount on your balance sheet. Every invoice includes the exact VAT details you need for a correct VAT declaration.

Transaction details

Want to see which transactions or paid services are included in an invoice? Or need an overview of everything that happened in a given period? It takes three clicks:

1       Log in

2       Go to Transactions in the menu on the left

3       Select your search criteria and click Download as CSV

Portomundi and your VAT declaration

Portomundi vouchers must not be included in your VAT return. They are defined as Multi-purpose Vouchers (MPVs), which means you can use them with different service providers in each EU Member State to pay for different services.

What you must include in your VAT return are the monthly invoices you receive from Portomundi service providers.

WHAT’S A MULTI-PURPOSE VOUCHER?

An MPV is a voucher representing an amount of money that hasn’t yet been assigned to any product or service. It’s a financial concept that only applies in the European Union, so services can only be settled with MPVs in an EU Member State. More information: Circular 2018/C/127 on the VAT treatment of vouchers.
